Mike and Jennifer Strickland of Emporia proudly announce the birth of their first child.
Sydney Renee Strickland was born at 9 a.m. May 10. She weighed 6 pounds 5 ounces and was 19 inches long.
Grandparents are Margaret Pippin of Marion, Vic Hanson of Salina, and Carl and Cathy Strickland of Oswego.
Great-grandparents are Don and Jo Wimp and Betty Strickland, all of Oswego.
May Warwick of Oswego is the baby's great-great-grandmother.
