Tabea Born
Tabea Born, 96, of Newton, died July 21, 2005.
Born Aug. 20, 1908, at Marion, S.D., she was the daughter of Diedrich and Elizabeth (Unruh) Goossen.
On Sept. 26, 1929, she married Jacob Born at Lustre, Mont. She was a member of Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and a daughter.
Survivors include two sons, Floyd Born of Newton and William Born of Bakersfield, Calif.; daughter, Norma Goentzel of Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Edwin Goossen of Billings, Mont., and Elmer Goossen of Minneapolis, Minn.; sister, Irene Saari of Duluth, Minn.; 13 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro, with Pastor Roy Keller officiating.
Burial was in Gnadenau Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.
A memorial fund has been established with the church.
