Members of Tampa Triple T's 4-H Club excelled Saturday at Regional 4-H Club Day in El Dorado. Those receiving blue ribbons were Reece Berens, piano solo; Nicholas Kleiber, illustrated talk; Julie Rziha, humorous reading; Kristine Jirak, demonstration; Nellie Hill, public speaking. In addition Reece received a top blue for his project talk.

The Rev. Clark Davis conducted services Sunday afternoon at the nursing homes in Hillsboro. Leona Kleiber and Dennis Klein accompanied him to help the residents sing hymns. Martha Klein was in attendance at the Hillsboro Community Medical Center long-term care unit.

Janet Bielefeld and Michele Berens are singing in the chorus for Bethany Oratorio Society performances at Lindsborg this week. Handel's "The Messiah" is being presented on Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday. Bach's "Saint Matthew's Passion" will be presented on Good Friday. As of this writing tickets for Good Friday and Easter were still available.

Ryan Spohn, Adam and Lauren were weekend guests of Gary and Carole Spohn. Additional Sunday dinner guests were Steve Spohn of Hope and Georgia Spohn.

Cecilia Rziha of Hays arrived here Friday evening to spend her spring break with Jerry and Jeanne Rziha and Julie.

Tom and Lori Moldenhauer enjoyed dinner out Saturday evening at McPherson in celebration of their wedding anniversary.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs visited Doug and Connie Thompson, Allison and Taylor Saturday in Abilene. All except Allison, who had other plans, enjoyed dinner out.

Tisha Bielefeld and Megan of Peabody, Janet Bielefeld, and Michele Berens, Reece and Addie attended Regional 4-H Day Saturday at El Dorado.

Kaylee Hall of Herington was a Friday overnight guest of her grandparents, Tom and Dee Duggan.

Amanda Kleiber of Manhattan, Lynn and Peggy Kleiber and Nicholas, Leona Kleiber, and Adeline Bernhardt met Dean and Becky Routh, Melody, Allison, and Danielle of Augusta Saturday morning at El Dorado. All attended the Regional 4-H Day at Butler County Community College. Nicholas received a blue on his illustrated talk. Melody earned a blue on her fiddle solo. Allison was awarded blues on a banjo solo, vocal solo, and piano solo. Danielle achieved top blue on her piano solo. The Routh sisters got top blue on a vocal trio and blue on an instrumental trio. They also were participants in the Lily Lake Club's choir, which was awarded a top blue, and play, which garnered a blue. The Rouths, Adeline, and Leona enjoyed dinner out. En route home Adeline and Leona stopped in Marion to visit Milda Krauter at Marion Manor.

Sunflower Senior Citizens were hosts Friday for the county senior citizens board meeting. They decorated the senior center with an Easter theme and served dinner.

Jim and Mary Clemmer went to Salina Thursday to baby-sit with their great-granddaughter, Cierra Walker. Later, they enjoyed lunch out with Dahn Walker and Don Clemmer. At the restaurant they also got to visit with Connie Atkinson of Abilene and her daughter Tonya.

Jerry and Jeanne Rziha and Julie, Bonnie Haslouer, and Floyd Herron were Thursday supper guests of Jim and Diane Herron, Andrew and Peter of Solomon. The occasion was Peter's second birthday.

Tom and Dee Duggan, Adeline Bernhardt, Leona Kleiber, and Betty Mueller joined a group Thursday on a bus tour to Wichita. They enjoyed a guided tour of the city, attended the production of "Cat Ballou" at the Crown Uptown Dinner Theater, and stopped at the Nifty Nut House. Many of the group were members of the Red Hat Society.

Helen Benson of Raytown, Mo., visited Thursday afternoon with Reuben and Lucille Kerbs.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika and Lisa Hanschu and Anna attended a supper Wednesday evening at Rosebank Church. James Weber was one of the youth group working at the event.

Georgia Spohn visited Marguerite Goertz Wednesday morning at Hillsboro.

Leona Kleiber and Adeline Bernhardt attended funeral services Wednesday for Fern Bentz at Trinity Lutheran Church in Salina. They also had dinner out.

Rustyn Kerbs, Ashton Kerbs, and Jesse Smith visited March 15 with Reuben and Lucille Kerbs.

Georgia Spohn met Lenora Graham of Florence in Hillsboro March 14. They attended the Learning in Retirement program at Tabor College and enjoyed lunch out. The featured speaker was Andy Rizza of Stone Creek Nursery in Hesston, who spoke on container gardening.

Lynn and Peggy Kleiber and Leona Kleiber attended the biddy basketball game and senior-faculty game March 13 at Centre High School. Nicholas Kleiber and Rustyn Kerbs were on the winning team. Andrea Kleiber was on the senior team, which also achieved a victory. Other Tampa seniors playing were Nathan Brunner, Andrew Hajek, and Shaina Makovec.

Greg and Michele Berens and Addie and Janet Bielefeld attended the "Adopt a Composer" piano recital March 12 at Tabor College in Hillsboro. Reece Berens was one of the pianists performing pieces by Kevin Olsen of Elmhurst, Ill., who was present for the recital.
