Prairie Pals met Tuesday evening in the Lutheran church basement with Virginia Bentz and Paula Cox as hostesses. Cindy Biehler of Lincolnville presented a program about vintage jewelry. Members brought candy and/or small toys for the community Easter egg hunt. Others present were Michele Berens, Mary Clemmer, Shirley Krause, Jeanne Rziha, and Jane Vajnar.

Gary and Carole Spohn attended the farm show Tuesday in Salina.

Tom and Dee Duggan were among those attending the Tri-County Telephone meeting Tuesday evening.

Georgia Spohn met her cousin, Lenora Graham of Florence in Hillsboro Monday for the Learning in Retirement program at Tabor College and dinner out. The lecture about China was very informative.

The Moffitt-Crandall American Legion post held their annual birthday dinner Sunday evening at the Legion hall.

A number of Tampa people attended a potluck dinner Sunday noon at the Durham Baptist Church in celebration of Pastor Curtis Wiens' birthday. Carson and Marie Wiens and Max came from Oklahoma to help Pastor Curt celebrate.

Leona Kleiber, Edna Mueller, Linda Ihde, and Adeline Bernhardt were among those attending the Tri-County Telephone meeting Tuesday evening.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika were Sunday supper guests of Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki. Anna Mae brought a cake in celebration of the Moldenhauers' upcoming wedding anniversary.

Leona Kleiber and Adeline Bernhardt enjoyed dinner out in Salina Monday.

Tom and Dee Duggan attended the Saint Columba soup dinner at Elmo Sunday.

Andrea Kleiber, bride-elect of Dale Klenda, was honored with a bridal spice shower Saturday afternoon in the Catholic church basement in Pilsen. Hostesses were Amanda Baxa, Raschelle Jirak, Jill Fenske, and Maria Gear. Special guests included the mothers of the bridal couple, Peggy Kleiber and Terry Klenda, and Andrea's grandmother, Leona Kleiber. The guests introduced themselves and told how they knew the honoree or were related to her. Before Andrea opened her gifts, guests wrote questions for her to answer and tried to identify spices in numbered plastic bags. Refreshments of cake and punch were served. Additional relatives attending included Becky Routh, Melody, Allison, and Danielle of Augusta, Adeline Bernhardt, and Melissa Stuchlik.

A number of Tampa people attended the all-star basketball game at Hesston Saturday evening. The best high school players from the Mid-Central Activities Association vied with the stars of the Heart of America League. Four players from this corner of the county, JuliAnne Chisholm, Tina and Troy Frick, and Lucas Hamm, were chosen for the Mid-Central teams, which won both the women's and men's games. JuliAnne was named most valuable player for the women's game.

Tom and Dee Duggan were among those attending the American Legion birthday dinner Sunday evening.

Becky Routh and daughters went to Leona Kleiber's home after the bridal shower Saturday afternoon. Later, they joined Lynn and Peggy Kleiber, Tim and Amanda Baxa, Andrea Kleiber, Dale Klenda, and Cecilia Rziha for supper out in Lost Springs. After supper, Lynn, Peggy, Andrea, and Dale came to Leona's home to visit. There they were joined by Nicholas Kleiber, who had been spending some time with friends Saturday afternoon.

Tom and Dee Duggan attended "Not My Cup of Tea" at the Three Sisters Victorian Tearoom in Canton Saturday.

Anna Mae Stika, Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki, and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna enjoyed dinner out, a movie, and shopping in Salina Saturday.

Ryan Spohn, Adam and Lauren visited Gary and Carole Spohn and Georgia Spohn during spring break.

Tom and Dee Duggan met Bud Meade of Andover and Dale and Teresa Hammond of Augusta in Wichita March 21, for dinner out.

Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki enjoyed supper out in McPherson Friday evening.

Tom and Dee Duggan presented a talk about their European river cruise at Hilltop Community Center in Herington March 9.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs are the proud great-grandparents of Charlotte Isabel Kerbs, born March 20 to Reuben and Cristy Kerbs of Wichita. Charlotte weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces and measured 19 inches. Grandparents are Glenn and Eloise Kerbs and Dan and Cindy Cammack, all of Dodge City.

Sara Hanson of Fayetteville, N.C., and Cindy Vinduska of Marion were Wednesday afternoon visitors of Leona Kleiber.

Georgia Spohn met Lenora Graham of Florence in Hillsboro Monday. They attended the Learning in Retirement program at Tabor College, where Frederick Krebs spoke on the life of Charles Sheldon, who wrote "In His Steps." Krebs lectures under the auspices of the Kansas Humanities Council. Georgia and Lenora enjoyed dinner out in Marion after the program.

Jane Vajnar went with group from the Marion senior center to see an exhibit of artifacts from the Titanic at Exploration Place in Wichita Tuesday afternoon.

Sunday after-church visitors of Reuben and Lucille Kerbs were Jesse and Ashton Smith of Pilsen and Russ and Julie Kerbs and Rustyn.

Sean Leihy of Hillsboro took Theresa Klenda, Martha Melcher, and Tillie Hein to a card party in Herington Sunday evening. Tom and Dee Duggan also attended.

Susie Rziha of Independence spent Thursday through Monday with Jerry and Jeanne Rziha and Julie. John and Jeanne Rziha, Christopher, Joseph, Timothy, Thomas, and Charles of Atchison joined them Friday and Saturday. Michael Rziha, who had been spending a week with his grandparents, returned home with them. Cecilia Rziha of Hays arrived Saturday to spend her spring break here. Diane Herron, Andrew, Peter, and Maria visited the Rzihas from Sunday to Tuesday.

Tillie Hein and Martha Melcher attended a fish dinner at the Catholic hall in Herington Sunday.

The Lions Club and Leos sponsored a pancake feed at the senior center Saturday.

Lorraine Havlik of Marion visited Adeline Bernhardt Saturday afternoon.

Lucille Kerbs visited Doug and Connie Thompson, Allison and Taylor in Abilene Saturday. All went out to eat in a belated celebration of Taylor's birthday.

Jim and Kris Srajer, Grant and Cole spent Saturday and Sunday in Omaha visiting their parents, Donald and Carolyn Srajer and Ted and Maxine Zielinski. Kris and boys stayed through spring break. They also got to spend some time with Kris's Grandmother Feld.

Sunflower Senior Citizens were hosts for the Marion County Senior Citizens Board meeting Friday. Rolls and coffee cake were served in the morning, and a luncheon was served at noon.

Donald and Carolyn Srajer spent from Wednesday to Friday here visiting Tillie Hein and Jim and Kris Srajer, Grant and Cole.
