Reuben and Lucille Kerbs went to Abilene Sunday for commencement exercises at Abilene High School. Their granddaughter, Allison Phillips, was one of the graduates. They attended a reception at the National Guard armory at Eisenhower Park. Others in attendance included Ashton Kerbs and Tim and Marchelle Kerbs, April and Molly of Salina, Glenn and Eloise Kerbs and Clayton of Dodge city, Al and Lila Gooding of Topeka, Doug and Connie Thompson and Taylor of Abilene, Russ and Julie Kerbs and Rustyn, and many other relatives and friends.

Jim and Mary Clemmer went to Topeka Sunday for their great-granddaughter Abigail Sutton's baptism, followed by a dinner in her honor at the home of Margaret and Bob Grochowsky. Others present were Nyle and Kathi Sutton, Alex, Meaghan, and Kyle and Mark Doud. The Clemmers visited her sister, Fern Gray, before returning home.

Adeline Bernhardt spent from Thursday to Monday with Carl and Kathy Hubbard and Clint of Wellington. Other weekend guests were Jennifer Rusk of Smyrna, Tenn., Paul and Diane Ring of Belton, Texas, Melinda Ring of Austin, Texas, and Dee Anna Stout and Gabrielle of Wichita. On Friday evening Carl was honored with a dinner celebrating his 25 years of employment with Boeing. Two company representatives from Seattle were present to award his 25-year pin. Kathy, Clint, Adeline, Jennifer, and Dee Anna were in attendance. The Hubbards entertained 100 guests Saturday evening at their home in honor of Clint's graduation. Donna Hubbard of Wellington and Adeline joined Carl, Kathy, and Clint Sunday for morning worship at Calvary Lutheran Church where Clint was one of the graduates honored. In the afternoon the Hubbards and their houseguests attended commencement at Sellers Park. Clint was among the 130 senior graduating.

Eleanor Murphy, Martha Melcher, and Tillie Hein attended a card party Sunday evening at Herington.

Father Paul Oborny of McPherson, Sharon and Mike Benda, and Dan and Kim Oborny, Ethan and Logan were Sunday visitors of John and Kathy Oborny and Diane Steiner to help Diane celebrate her birthday.

Janie Rziha and Cecilia Rziha arrived here Thursday and Friday, respectively, to spend time with Jerry and Jeanne Rziha, David and Julie before leaving for summer jobs. Diane Herron, Andrew and Peter were Sunday overnight and Monday guests.

Glenn and Eloise Kerbs and Clayton of Dodge city, Ashton Kerbs of Salina, and Russ and Julie Kerbs and Rustyn were Sunday dinner guests of Reuben and Lucille Kerbs.

Leona Kleiber spent from Thursday to Monday with Dean and Becky Routh, Melody, Allison, and Danielle of Augusta. All attended a graduation celebration Saturday evening for Clint Hubbard at the home of Carl and Kathy Hubbard of Wellington. On Sunday afternoon the Rouths and Leona went with a church group to the care home at Andover. Following the message and group singing, the Routh sisters sang and played their instruments. Ice cream was served to the residents and visitors.

Jane Vajnar attended the Fort Hays State University commencement Saturday morning at Hays followed by a cookout at the home of Aimee Kempke who was one of the graduates. Aminda Brunner also was one of the graduates. Both Aimee and Aminda had earned their degrees at the end of the fall semester. In the afternoon Jane toured the Sternberg Museum of Natural History. En route home she attended Mass at St. Fidelis Church in Victoria and enjoyed a tour of that edifice, often called the "Cathedral of the Plains."

Jeanne Rziha, Janie, Cecilia, and Julie visited Sister Mary Cora Rziha Saturday in Wichita.

Several Tampa women attended the women's salad supper at the Durham Baptist church Thursday evening. Nadine Friesen was the featured speaker on the theme "Showers of Blessing." Yvonne Cushenbery favored the group with a vocal solo. Tampa women present were Autumn Chisholm, Keli, Kara, and JuliAnne, Eleanor Herbel, Mildred Hamm, Jane Vajnar, and her guest, Kim Frantz. Kristi Krispense and Kaitlyn of Strassburg came as Eleanor's guests, and her daughters-in-law and other granddaughters also were present.

Rustyn Kerbs was an overnight guests May 11 of Reuben and Lucille Kerbs.

Sunflower Senior Citizens enjoyed dinner May 11 at the café followed by a business meeting and card bingo at the senior center. Tillie Hein and Martha Melcher were hostesses. The group planned a tour for June 3 to Ellsworth and Minneapolis. Anyone interested in going should call Tillie to see if room is available. Others present were Jim and Mary Clemmer, Adeline Bernhardt, Leona Kleiber, Bonnie Crandall, Carole Spohn, Tom and Dee Duggan, Jane Vajnar, Ruby Vinduska, Eleanor Murphy, Magdalen Dvorak, Helen Costello, Margaret Jirak, and Maxine Mueller.

Tom and Dee Duggan visited her brother, Ernie Bonham, and his friend Brenda May 11 at Caney, en route to Bartlesville, Okla., to visit Ernie and Darlene Kite. The Kites and Duggans drove May 12 to Branson, Mo., where they saw the Paul Harris show. They went to Silver Dollar City May 13 and back to Bartlesville May 14. The Duggans stopped on their way home May 15 to visit Bill Bonham at Copan, Okla.

Russ Kerbs took his parents, Reuben and Lucille Kerbs, out for breakfast May 10 in celebration of Mother's Day.
