Farm trucks are still hauling milo into the elevator. Reports are that yields in this area are average to good.

Adam Hall of Lee's Summit, Mo., has informed his grandparents, Tom and Dee Duggan, that his swim team has won the conference. In fact, all the fall sports teams at Lee Summit West High School, where he attends, took first in the conference.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Lori Moldenhauer, and Lisa Hanschu attended the Centre Junior-Senior High School fall concert Monday evening. Nikki Stenzel and Anna Weber performed.

Georgia Spohn met Lenora Graham of Florence at Hillsboro Monday morning. They attended Learning in Retirement at Tabor College and enjoyed lunch out. Martha Knudsen presented a program about Kansas barns.

Betty Mueller and Adeline Bernhardt attended the fall concert at Centre Monday evening.

Irene Beames visited Frank and Anna Mae Stika Monday.

Greg Sklenar of Wichita and Valerie Hampton of Hillsboro were Sunday dinner guests of their mother, Lois Sklenar, in celebration of Valerie's birthday. Greg was an overnight guest.

Cecilia and Susie Rziha of Wichita and Diane Herron, Andrew, Peter, Maria, and John of Topeka were weekend guests of Jerry and Jeanne Rziha, Julie and Bermet.

Pastor Clark and Kathy Davis, Edna Mueller, and Adeline Bernhardt attended the circuit Reformation service Sunday afternoon at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Marion.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs attended a benefit concert for Greensburg Sunday afternoon at Emanuel church in Abilene. Their son-in-law, Doug Thompson, was master of ceremonies, and Connie Thompson and Taylor helped with the event. The program featured performances by the Celebration Quartet, the Friends Trio, Emmanuelaires, the Saint Andrew's children's choir, and Rhianna Jordan. A representative from Greensburg showed some slides and talked about the tornado. Refreshments were served, and a free will offering was given to help the Greensburg community.

A number of Tampa people attended a potluck appreciation dinner for Pastor Curtis and Connie Wiens at the Durham Baptist church Sunday after morning worship.

Donald and Carolyn Srajer of Omaha, Neb., spent the weekend here visiting Tillie Hein and Jim and Kris Srajer, Grant and Cole. All enjoyed supper in Hope Friday evening as a belated celebration of Grant's birthday. On Saturday they went to Haven for an elementary honor choir concert sponsored by the Kansas Music Educators Association, where Grant sang with 175 members of the honor choir. Other Centre students participating were Cacey Simons, Bryanna Svoboda, Amy Makovec, Ty Simons, and Timothy Vinduska. Upon returning to Tampa they went to Jim and Kris's home for supper and continued Grant's birthday celebration. On Sunday all attended mass and dinner at the church in Pilsen before Donald and Carolyn left for home.

George Brunner visited Frank and Anna Mae Stika Sunday afternoon.

Saturday afternoon visitors of Reuben and Lucille Kerbs were Greg and Angela Wilczek, Charlotte and Elizabeth of Minneola.

Georgia Spohn visited Marguerite Goertz and her daughter Benita in Hillsboro Friday morning.

Carl and Donna Hubbard of Wellington were Thursday dinner guests of Adeline Bernhardt.

Martha Melcher and Tillie Hein went with the Hope Legion Auxiliary women to the Golden Eagle Casino.

Millie Rowe and Alice Wendt of Herington visited Frank and Anna Mae Stika Oct. 21.

The Tampa Community Association met Wednesday evening and made plans for the community Christmas party at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 2 at the senior center. All are invited to attend for a visit from Santa, caroling and games. Bring a snack to share. Carole Spohn, TCA president, reported receiving inquiries about Tampa T-shirts. It was decided to put out sign-up sheets at the Christmas party and other community gatherings for those interested in purchasing shirts. If there is enough interest, more will be ordered.

Lisa Hanschu was honored with a birthday party at her home Oct. 20, with Lori Dornbush and Marianne Wyatt as hostesses. Among those present were Ronnie Hanschu, James and Anna, Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Lori Moldenhauer, and many other relatives and friends.
