Jeanne Rziha will offer flu shots from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Tampa State Bank. Appointments can be made by calling the bank.

Darrel Thiesen of Marion County Emergency Medical Service and Jesse Brunner of the Tampa ambulance crew came to the meeting of Sunflower Senior Citizens Tuesday to talk about the yellow dot program. Those present were given a packet containing a yellow dot to place on the car window and forms for medical information to put in the glove compartment. Members brought food for a traditional Thanksgiving feast. After the program the group played card bingo. Others present were Margaret Jirak, Magdalen Dvorak, Adeline Bernhardt, Leona Kleiber, Ruby Vinduska, Bonnie Crandall, Helen Costello, Martha Melcher, Tillie Hein, Shirley Zaideman, Gary and Carole Spohn, and Jim and Mary Clemmer.

Tom and Dee Duggan visited Don and Betty Frick in Topeka Tuesday.

Jerry and Jeanne Rziha went to Oklahoma City Tuesday for the funeral of Doug Brill, their daughter-in-law, Shannon Rziha's father.

Tom Duggan joined Kaylee Hall at her school in Herington Monday morning for Doughnuts for Dad.

Andrea Kleiber visited her grandmother, Leona Kleiber, Monday morning.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki, and Lisa Hanschu and Anna attended visitation for Helen Brunner in Herington Sunday evening. Frank and Anna Mae also attended the funeral on Monday.

Georgia Spohn met Lenora Graham of Florence in Hillsboro Monday. The attended Learning in Retirement at Tabor College, where the Rev. Steve Humber spoke about persecution of Christians around the world. After the program they enjoyed dinner out in Marion. Dorothy Lawrence joined them for dinner.

Willis and Eleanor Herbel are the proud grandparents of Taelin Janae Herbel, born Nov. 10 to Jon and Ashlee Herbel of Salina. She weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces and measured 19 inches. She has a sister, Elena, 2. Maternal grandparents are Sam and Dena Bowman of Lincolnville. Rosie Bowman is her great-grandmother. This is the Herbels' second new granddaughter this fall. Karalyn Joy Krispense was born to Todd and Kristi Krispense Oct. 25. Her other grandparents are Steve and Martha Krispense, and her great-grandmother is Kathryn Barr. She had five siblings to welcome her: Kolton, 12; Konrad, 10; Klayton, 7; and Kordell and Kaitlyn, 5.

Donald and Carolyn Srajer of Omaha, Neb., spent from Saturday to Monday here visiting Tillie Hein and Jim and Kris Srajer, Grant and Cole. Pam and Bill Fillmore of Cottonwood Falls joined the two Srajer families in taking Tillie to Abilene Sunday for mass and dinner out. After dinner they returned to Jim and Kris's home for birthday cake and ice cream as a belated celebration of Tillie's birthday.

Lorraine Havlik of Marion, Leona Kleiber, and Adeline Bernhardt went to Abilene Sunday for dinner out, then went to Russell Stover's and did some shopping.

A number of Tampa people attended the Harvest Mission Festival at the Durham Baptist church Sunday.

Deb Hall and Kaylee of Herington and Tom and Dee Duggan spent Saturday and Sunday in Lee's Summit, Mo., where they joined Darla Hall and Adam for a Thanksgiving feast prepared by Adam's Boy Scout troop on Saturday. Later, the Duggans went to the Carlson Center at Johnson County Community College to see Ed McMahon. On Sunday all enjoyed an early celebration of Tom's birthday.

Andrea Kleiber and Leona Kleiber went to the home of Lynn and Peggy Kleiber and Nicholas Saturday afternoon. The women went shopping. Later Lynn and Nicholas met them for supper out; then all went back to the Kleiber home to visit.

Centre High School's FFA parliamentary law team took first in regional competition at Harper Thursday. This feat qualifies them for state competition at Manhattan in May. Team members were Gloria Belton, Kristine Jirak, Julie Rziha, Allie Will, Jo Terwilliger, and Savannah Forsberg. In individual competition on an information test Julie placed first, Nellie Hill, second; and Kristine, fifth.

Tom and Dee Duggan met Carolyn Duggan of Hutchinson and Janel Duggan of Wichita in Durham Friday for dinner out.

Women enjoying dinner out in Hillsboro Thursday were Dee Duggan, Beryl Steiner, Adeline Bernhardt, Leona Kleiber, Helen Costello, Tillie Hein, Lorene Kleiber, Shirley Hamm, and Eleanor Herbel. Dee and Beryl were hostesses.

Mildred Hamm, Eleanor Herbel, and Jane Vajnar attended the monthly meeting of King's Daughters at the Durham Baptist church Thursday evening. Ruth Hamm and Deb Geis were hostesses. Since Deb was unable to be present, Carol Ollenburger and Valerie Hampton helped Ruth with the serving. Frances Unruh gave a Thanksgiving devotion. Eleanor presented a mission study, and Pearl Koch led the lesson. Officers elected for 2007 were Mildred Hamm, president; Edie Ollenburger, vice president; Marcella Mohn, secretary; and Shirley Hamm, treasurer.

Joe and Joyce Cox of Abilene, Everett and Rhea Kolling of Herington, and Tom and Dee Duggan attended the production of "To Kill a Mockingbird" Nov. 8 at the Great Plains Theater in Abilene.
