Jim and Mary Clemmer visited Faye Jaggard, Adeline Wood, and Ranney Vogt in Emporia Tuesday and took them some of the flowers from the Clemmers' anniversary reception on Sunday.
Tom and Dee Duggan and their granddaughter, Kaylee Hall of Herington attended a soup supper Tuesday evening at Hilltop Community Center in Herington.
Leona Kleiber visited Pearl Belton Tuesday morning.
Georgia Spohn met Lenora Graham of Florence in Hillsboro Monday morning. They attended Learning in Retirement at Tabor College and enjoyed dinner out. The speaker for the session was Becky Walters, who with her husband operates Walters Pumpkin Patch north of El Dorado. Other Tampa people attending were Jim and Mary Clemmer and Jane Vajnar.
Sunday dinner guests of Adeline Bernhardt were Carl and Kathy Hubbard and Donna Hubbard of Wellington, John and Debra Haynes, Hailey and Heather, Brian and Hailey Shaw and Dee Anna Stout and Gabrielle of Wichita, Ivan and Delores Shaw of Sarcoxie, Mo., Carrie Bernhardt and Kelly Bernhardt, Bryan and Kevin of El Dorado. The occasion was an early Thanksgiving celebration.
Jim and Mary Clemmer were honored Sunday afternoon on their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception at the senior center. Hosts were their four sons, grandchildren, their spouses, and great-grandchildren. Many other relatives and friends attended.
Susie Rziha of Independence and Cecilia Rziha of Hays arrived here Friday to stay through Thanksgiving weekend with Jerry and Jeanne Rziha and Julie. John and Jeanne Rziha, Michael, Christopher, Joseph, Timothy, Thomas, and Charles of Atchison joined them Saturday and Sunday.
Georgia Spohn and Gary and Carole Spohn attended the pre-Thanksgiving dinner at the Christian church in Marion Sunday after morning worship. After dinner they came to Tampa for the Clemmers' reception.
Many Tampa people attended one or both performances of "Jolly Roger and the Pirate Queen" at Centre High School Friday and Saturday evenings. Tampa students in the cast included Gloria Belton, Seth Jirak, Nikki Stenzel, Kevin Mueller, Julie Rziha, and Aurora Salamone.
Tom and Dee Duggan attended a wine and cheese party at St. Mark's Activity Center in Marion Saturday evening after Mass.
Adeline Bernhardt, Leona Kleiber, and Betty Mueller attended the Centre High School play Friday evening.
Some people from this corner of the county were part of the large crowd attending funeral services for Bill Meyer Friday afternoon at Valley United Methodist Church. As the longtime editor of the Marion County Record and tireless supporter of many community projects, Meyer had a great impact on this area.
Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Tom and Lori Moldenhauer, and Lisa Hanschu and Anna attended the CHS play Friday evening.
Dee Duggan represented the Lions Club at a noon meeting of the Centre High School Leos Friday. Tom Duggan attended the junior high Leos meeting in the afternoon.
Adeline Bernhardt attended a meeting Friday of the Marion County Senior Citizens Board.
