If anyone has missed seeing the Tamp news the past few weeks, your faithful correspondent spent Nov. 12-27 in the hospital. She now is thoroughly on the mend.

Prairie Pals met Tuesday in the Lutheran church basement. The hostess, Lori Meyer, served refreshments and helped the group make Christmas ornaments. Others present were Virginia Bentz, Mary Clemmer, Laveta Meyer, Jeanne Rziha, and Jane Vajnar.

Ellen Erickson of Tacoma, Wash., Adeline Bernhardt, and Leona Kleiber went to Wellington Monday. After touring the town, they were steak supper and overnight guests of Carl and Kathy Hubbard. Others helping Kathy celebrate her birthday were Chris and Dee Anna Stout and Gabrielle, Clint Hubbard, and Donna Hubbard of Wellington. All enjoyed birthday cake and ice cream.

Guests of Adeline Bernhardt Sunday for a post-Thanksgiving gathering and a celebration of the birthdays of Kathy Hubbard, Nov. 26, and Barney Bernhardt, Nov. 28, were Ellen Erickson of Tacoma, Wash., Carl and Kathy Hubbard, Clint Hubbard, Dee Anna Stout and Gabrielle, and Donna Hubbard, all of Wellington; Barney and Linda Bernhardt and Megan, James Haynes, John and Debra Haynes, Hailee and Heather, Josh Miller and his friend Evan, all of Wichita; Carrie Bernhardt, Kelly Bernhardt, Kevin and Bryan of El Dorado; and Leona Kleiber. Helen Benson of Raytown, Mo., was an afternoon visitor and overnight guest.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki, their friend Sam, Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna joined other relatives Sunday for a post-Thanksgiving celebration at the home of Lyal and Julie Sader at Salina.

Dave Bauer and Will spent a week with Jim and Kris Srajer, Grant and Cole and helped with some farm work.

Guests of Terry and Cindy Vinduska for Sunday dinner out in Marion were Ellen Erickson of Tacoma, Wash., Daniel and Melissa Stuchlik, Tanner and Allie of Pilsen, Adeline Bernhardt, and Leona Kleiber. After dinner, all went to the Vinduska home for an afternoon of visiting and refreshments.

Tom and Dee Duggan have been informed by their grandson, Adam Hall of Lee's Summit, Mo., that his high school football team won the Missouri state championship Nov. 23 at St. Louis.

Donald and Carolyn Srajer of Omaha, Neb., came Saturday to visit Tillie Hein and Jim and Kris Srajer, Grant and Cole, and to attend the Tampa Rural High School alumni banquet, where Donald's class was honored for their 50th reunion.

Among those attending the alumni banquet Saturday evening were Barney Bernhardt of Wichita, Carl and Kathy Hubbard of Wellington, Ellen Erickson of Tacoma, Wash., Leona Kleiber, and Adeline Bernhardt. Ellen and Barney were in honored classes. The Hubbards were Adeline's overnight guests.

Tom and Dee Duggan attended the alumni banquet Saturday evening. Entertainment featured Francis and Mary Jirak impersonating Johnny and June Cash and a group of mountaineers portrayed by Kenny and Kelly Novak, Judy Stika, and Dennis Klenda.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika and Tom and Lori Moldenhauer were Thanksgiving dinner guests of Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna. Joining them for supper were Konley Harding, Nikki Stenzel, and her friend Sam.

Thanksgiving guests of John and Kathy Oborny and Diane Steiner were Sharon Benda, Father Paul Oborny, and Bill and Janet Walsh and family of Wichita and Dan and Kim Oborny, Ethan and Logan. Father Paul stayed through Saturday and attended the alumni banquet.

Deb Hall and Kaylee of Herington and Tom and Dee Duggan met Darla Hall and Adam of Lee's Summit, Mo., in Lawrence Nov. 21. Deb, Kaylee, Darla, and Adam attended the Kansas University basketball game. All stayed overnight in Lawrence and enjoyed dinner out and movies on Thursday.

Martha Melcher and Tillie Hein attended the card party Nov. 18 at Herington.

Tom Duggan, Leona Kleiber, Adeline Bernhardt, and Tillie Hein attended the friendship supper Nov. 15 at Morning Star church. The Morning Star youth presented a musical program.

Adeline Bernhardt and Leona Kleiber met their sister, Ellen Erickson of Tacoma, Wash., Nov. 17 at the Wichita airport. She spent Nov. 17-27 with her sisters. While here they enjoyed dinner out and shopping in Hillsboro several times and visited friends and relatives.

Thanksgiving dinner guests of Gary and Carole Spohn were Ryan Spohn, Adam and Lauren, Steve Spohn, Sheri Kersh, and Georgia Spohn.

Tom Duggan received many calls and cards for his birthday Nov. 20.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs joined family members for Thanksgiving dinner at the home of Glenn and Eloise Kerbs in Dodge City. Other guests were Reuben and Cristy Kerbs and Charlotte of Wichita, Tim and Marchelle Kerbs, April and Molly of Salina, Doug and Connie Thompson, Allison and Taylor of Abilene, and Russ and Julie Kerbs and Rustyn. Reuben and Lucille were Thursday overnight guests and returned home Friday.

Tillie Hein and Jim and Kris Srajer, Grant and Cole spent Thanksgiving with Bill and Pam Fillmore at Cottonwood Falls. Dolores and Ron Scott of Emporia also were guests.

Thanksgiving guests of Phyllis and Rodney Mueller were Michael and Sheila Mueller and Sage of Laramie, Wyo., Elda Ebel, Kelsie Penner, and Mike and Jennifer Jay of Hillsboro, Wanda and John Lewis, Paul, Sarah, and Luke of Wichita, Bev and Tom Reid of Marion, Ron and Jody Heath, Danielle and Tyler of Salina, Don and Ophelia Jacobson and Greg Jacobson of Hope, Jason Backhus, Brad Backhus, and Paul and Edna Backhus.

Thanksgiving dinner and supper guests of Lynn and Peggy Kleiber and Nicholas of Salina were Leonard and Mona Kashka of Goodland, Dean and Becky Routh, Melody, Allison, and Danielle of Augusta, Tim and Amanda Baxa and Max Stover of Manhattan, Ellen Erickson of Tacoma, Wash., Dale and Andrea Klenda of Pilsen, Adeline Bernhardt, and Leona Kleiber.

Larry Hampton of Sierra Vista, Ariz., spent Nov. 18-24 with his mother, Lois Sklenar. Greg Sklenar of Wichita and Valerie Hampton of Hillsboro were frequent visitors during their brother's stay.

Don and Cecile Penney of Topeka were Friday afternoon visitors of Leona Kleiber and her houseguest, Ellen Erickson.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Lori Moldenhauer, and Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna attended the Centre High School production of "Alice in Wonderland," Nov. 17 and 18. Tampa youth in the cast were Nikki Stenzel, Julie Rziha, Aurora Salamone, and Bermet Zhumakadlyr kyze.

Family members gathered Nov. 10 at a Manhattan restaurant to help Tillie Hein celebrate her 99th birthday. Those present included Dolores and Ron Scott of Emporia, Pam and Bill Fillmore of Cottonwood Falls, Jan Fillmore and Taylor of Emporia, Debra and Terry Dody of Branson, Mo., Jason and Tamara Dody of Claflin, Rebecca and John Nottingham, Alex and Emily of Ozawkie, Daniel Nottingham of Manhattan, Donald and Carolyn Srajer, Mike, Ryan, and Cassie Bauer, Dave, Susan, Will, and Andrew Bauer, Jon, Michele, Evan, and Audre Bauer, and Kristin Srajer, all of Omaha, Neb., and Jim and Kris Srajer, Grant and Cole.

Tampa Lions enjoyed lunch Nov. 8 at Durham.

Sunflower Senior Citizens enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner Nov. 13 at the senior center. Alex Stuchlik entertained with his accordion. Those present were Edna Mueller, Chris Costello, Kent Becker, Don Witt, Carol Zaideman, Adeline Bernhardt, Jim and Mary Clemmer, Tom and Dee Duggan, Tillie Hein, Margaret Jirak, Leona Kleiber, Martha Melcher, Frank Patton, Carole Spohn, and Shirley Zaideman.

The Shady Ladies Red Hat Society enjoyed lunch Nov. 8 at the Herington senior center and did some singing to entertain the other guests. Tampa women attending were Dee Duggan, Adeline Bernhardt, and Leona Kleiber.
