Tampa: Lions club celebrates 50th anniversary years ago

About 70 Lions, Leos, spouses, and guests from around the district attended a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Tampa Lions Club Saturday evening at the senior center. The featured speaker was Dr. Bill Wunder of Wichita, a past international president. Music was provided by Lori Moldenhauer, Nikki Stenzel, and Julie Rziha. Tom Duggan received the Distinguished Lion award. Pins commemorating the event may be obtained from Jim Clemmer, Tom Duggan, or Carole Spohn.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika attended an open house Sunday afternoon at Pilsen in celebration of Edmund Steiner's 90th birthday.

Lynn Kleiber of Salina visited his mother, Leona Kleiber Sunday afternoon.

Anna Weber is spending her spring break skiing in Colorado.

Weekend guests of Jerry and Jeanne Rziha and Julie were Emilio and Janie Aita and John and Jeanne Rziha, Michael, Christopher, Joseph, Timothy, and Thomas of Atchison, Susie Rziha of Independence, and Cecilia Rziha of Hays. All the Rziha boys except Thomas had spent the previous week with their grandparents. Susie and Cecilia remained here for spring break. All attended the baptism of Maria Diane Herron Sunday at Solomon, followed by dinner at the home of Jim and Diane Herron, Andrew, Peter, and Maria. David and Caterina Rziha of Council Grove joined them.

Adeline Bernhardt spent from Monday to Wednesday with Carl and Kathy Hubbard and Clint of Wellington. They went to Oklahoma Tuesday to the Kaw Southwind Casino.

Ashton Smith of Salina and Russ and Julie Kerbs and Rustyn were after-church visitors Sunday of Reuben and Lucille Kerbs.

Nicholas Kleiber spent from Sunday afternoon to Tuesday here visiting Casey Kristek and Rustyn Kerbs. He was a Tuesday afternoon and supper guest of his grandmother, Leona Kleiber.

Anna Mae Stika and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki went Friday evening to Newton.

Andrea Kleiber visited her grandmother, Leona Kleiber several times during spring break.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs visited Connie Thompson, Allison and Taylor Saturday in Abilene and all enjoyed dinner out.

Terry and Cindy Vinduska, Ruby Vinduska, Adeline Bernhardt, and Leona Kleiber enjoyed dinner Sunday at the cafe.

Adeline Bernhardt and Leona Kleiber went to El Dorado Saturday morning to meet Dean and Becky Routh, Melody, Allison, and Danielle. All attended the seven-county Regional 4-H Club Day at Butler Community College. The three Routh girls were awarded a top blue for their instrumental ensemble. Danielle earned top blues on both a vocal solo and a piano solo. Allison received a top blue with her piano solo. All enjoyed dinner out.
