Tampa: 'Tis the season for visiting loved ones

Georgia Spohn visited Marguerite Goertz Monday morning in Hillsboro.

Tillie Hein and Philothea Snell accompanied Bill and Pamela Fillmore of Cottonwood Falls to Ozawkie Sunday for a family dinner at the home of John and Rebecca Nottingham and family. Others present were Ron and Dolores of Emporia, Debra and Terry Dody of Branson, Mo., and Richard Scott of Dallas, Texas.

Father Paul Oborny was an overnight guest Sunday of John and Kathy Oborny and Diane Steiner. Dan and Ethan Oborny joined Father Paul and John to go hunting on Monday.

Jim and Mary Clemmer visited Lorena Gramke and Rannie Vogt Sunday in Emporia.

Stephanie Classen of Marion, Eleanor Murphy, and Martha Melcher were evening visitors Sunday of Helen Schwartzman.

Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu spent Christmas Day with Frank and Anna Mae Stika.

Christmas weekend guests of Jerry and Jeanne Rziha, Janie, Cecilia, and Julie were Jim and Diane Herron, Andrew and Peter of Solomon, John and Jeanne Rziha, Michael, Christopher, Joseph, Timothy, and Thomas of Atchison, and David Rziha of Council Grove.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs went to Salina Christmas afternoon for a movie and supper out.

Christmas supper guests of Gary and Carole Spohn were Ryan Spohn of Manhattan, Steve Spohn and friends of Hope, and Georgia Spohn.

Adeline Bernhardt spent from Thursday to Monday with Carl and Kathy Hubbard and Clint in Wellington and Barney and Linda Bernhardt and Megan of Wichita. Mitch and Jennifer Rusk, Kelsey and Chandler of Edmond, Okla., joined them at the Christmas Eve service at Calvary Lutheran Church. The Rusks were overnight and Christmas Day guests of the Hubbards. Adeline was a Christmas morning and dinner guest of Barney and Linda Bernhardt and Megan. Additional guests were John and Debra Haynes, Hailey and Heather and three other friends. A gift exchange was enjoyed. In the afternoon Adeline returned to the Hubbard home where she joined the Rusks, Chris and Dee Anna Stout and Gabrielle of Wichita, and Donna Hubbard of Wellington for a gift exchange and supper. On Sunday afternoon Carl, Kathy, and Adeline went to Wichita, where they joined Clinton Hubbard and Jeremy Long for supper out.

Christmas supper guests of Leona Kleiber were Terry and Cindy Vinduska of Marion, Lt. Anthony and Sara Hanson of Fayetteville, N.C., Daniel and Melissa Stuchlik and Tanner of Wichita, Amanda Kleiber, Jill Vinduska, and Bethani Lee of Manhattan, Dean and Becky Routh, Melody, Allison, and Danielle of Augusta, and Lynn and Peggy Kleiber, Andrea and Nicholas. A gift exchange in the evening was followed by refreshments. The Rouths were overnight guests.

Greg Sklenar of Wichita was a weekend guest of his mother, Lois Sklenar. Valerie Hampton of Hillsboro joined them for Christmas Day. They also had an early celebration of Greg's birthday and received telephone greetings from Larry Hampton.

Bill and Dollie Novak of Lost Springs and Jim and Tina Novak and Christa spent Christmas weekend with Mike and Nancy Nied of Oklahoma City, Okla.

David Rziha, Caterina Rozman, and Jerry and Jeanne Rziha, Janie, Cecilia, and Julie joined other relatives Sunday for a post-Christmas dinner at the home of Bob and Nancy Rziha of Great Bend.

Ron and Jody Heath, Danielle and Tyler of Salina spent Christmas weekend with Phyllis and Rod Mueller. The Heath children took part in the Christmas Eve children's program at Saint John Lutheran Church.

Geraldine and Kelly Noonan of Dallas, Texas, spent from Thursday to Sunday with Helen Schwartzman. Additional Christmas dinner guests were Wayne and Marita Schwartzman and Emil Pospisil of Wichita, Leroy Schwartzman of Ballwin, Mo., and Bernice Goodwin of Salina. Gary Mueller was a brief visitor.

Jim and Mary Clemmer spent Christmas with Dale and Sandy Clemmer in Salina. Others present were Charlie Clemmer, Cassie Clemmer, Courtney Shea, and Jacob Braun.

Christmas dinner guests of Gary and Carole Spohn were Bill and Kay Stanley of Minneapolis, Ryan Spohn of Manhattan, and Georgia Spohn.

Tillie Hein and Philothea Snelle were dinner guests of Jim and Kris Srajer, Grant and Cole on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Amanda Kleiber was a morning visitor Friday of her grandmother, Leona Kleiber.

Jane Vajnar was a Christmas dinner guest of Jon and Wanda Sneath of Carneiro.

Christmas Eve supper guests of Frank and Anna Mae Stika were Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki and Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna. All attended a Christmas program in which Nikki participated at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Herington and a Christmas Eve service in Hope.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day guests of John and Kathy Oborny and Diane Steiner were Dan and Kim Oborny, Ethan and Logan and Mike and Sharon Benda.

Leona Kleiber was a Thursday supper guest of Lynn and Peggy Kleiber, Amanda, Andrea, and Nicholas.

Guests of Reuben and Lucille Kerbs for a soup supper after the Christmas program, "Twas the Night Before Christmas," on Christmas Eve were Russ and Julie Kerbs, Ashton and Rustyn and Jesse Smith.

Ryan Spohn of Manhattan, Gary and Carole Spohn, and Georgia Spohn attended the Christmas Eve church service at the Christian church in Marion.

Sara Hanson of Fayetteville, N. C., Terry Vinduska of Marion, and Leona Kleiber enjoyed dinner at the cafe on Thursday. Incidentally, that was the last day Butch's Diner was open for business.

Adeline Bernhardt, Betty Mueller, Ruby Vinduska, and Leona Kleiber attended the Centre junior/senior high winter concert Dec. 21 directed by Ken Roe and Linley Remy. Leona's granddaughter, Andrea Kleiber, performed with the band and chorus.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Tom and Lori Moldenhauer, and Lisa Hanschu and Anna were among those attending the junior/senior high school winter concert. James Weber and Nikki Stenzel performed.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs went to Abilene Friday afternoon and visited Doug and Connie Thompson, Allison and Taylor.

Leona Kleiber spent from Dec. 18 to 21 with Dean and Becky Routh, Allison, Melody, and Danielle of Augusta. Aaron and Holly Routh were Saturday afternoon visitors. The Rouths and Leona attended the children's program Sunday morning at Assembly of God Church in Andover. The Routh girls were in the puppet show and program. On Monday evening they all went to the school program, "We Need a Little Christmas," in Andover. Allison played a solo on her mountain dulcimer, while Melody had a vocal solo and Danielle a piano solo. All three were in a musical play. Refreshments were served.
