Ted Hamm

Theodore (Ted) Hamm, 85, died Aug. 7, 2005, at Salem Nursing Home, Hillsboro.

Born June 25, 1920, at Hillsboro, he was the son of Edward and Bertha (Hill) Hamm.

On Oct. 3, 1945, he married Ruth Black at McPherson. She died in 1992.

He was employed at Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) at Hillsboro, and was a member of First Southern Baptist Church, Hillsboro.

He was preceded in death by his wife; three brothers, Harry, Art, and Eddie; and three sisters, Elsie Lawrence, Florine Hamm, and Dorothy Foth.

Survivors include six sons, Clinton Hamm of Newton, Loren Hamm of McPherson, and Alan, Howard, Terry, and Dennis Hamm, all of Hillsboro; daughter, Sandra Bezdek of Hillsboro; three brothers, Duane and Delbert Hamm, both of Hillsboro; and Marvin Hamm of Wells; two sisters, Elma Klein and Florence Hett, both of Hillsboro; 18 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at First Baptist Church, Durham, with Pastor Lyndon Decker officiating.

Burial was in Durham Park Cemetery, rural Durham.

A memorial fund has been established with First Southern Baptist Church.
