Terri Thompson

Terri D. Thompson, 33, of Ramona, died Nov. 8, 2004, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

Born Sept. 29, 1971, at Oakland, Calif., she was the daughter of Ronald and Charolene (Pratt) Nelson.

She grew up in Sacramento, Calif., and attended local schools. She moved in July 2003 with her family to Ramona.

On April 26, 1993, she married James Thompson in Reno, Nev.

She was a certified nurse's aide with Hillsboro Community Medical Center and KD Care and a volunteer firefighter for Marion County District #3 fire department.

She was a member of St. John Nep. Catholic Church at Pilsen, and was active in Girl Scouts and 4-H.

Survivors include her husband, James of Ramona; four sons, Benjamin, Dallen, Terren, and C.J.; and a daughter, Cassandra, all of Ramona; two brothers, Ronald and Carl Nelson, both of Lebanon, Ore.; two sisters, April Bowers of Peoria, Ariz., and Dahnay Taft of Lebanon, Ore.

The rosary was recited Sunday evening at St. John Nep. Catholic Church, Pilsen.

A Mass of Christian Burial was said Monday morning at St. John Nep. Catholic Church, Pilsen, with Father Steve Gronert officiating.

Burial was in Pilsen Catholic Cemetery.

A Terri Thompson Children's Fund memorial has been established and funds may be left at First National Bank, Hope, or with Carlson-Becker Funeral Home.
