Thankful
I am thankful to Bill Meyer for giving me, a naïve country woman, the opportunity to pursue a line of work I had never dreamed of doing but one which has allowed me to use my creative skills and given me the opportunity to meet a lot of different people.
I was hired in 1995, after spending more than 15 years as a farm wife raising a family alongside my husband.
Under Bill's patient tutelage and with the help of copy editor Joan Meyer, I learned the rules of newspaper reporting. Now, more than 10 years later, I still find the job challenging and rewarding, and I owe it all to him.
