Congressman Jerry Moran is bringing officials of the Veterans Administration to Marion County Tuesday. They will be able to answer questions about veterans' benefits and explain some of the VA programs.

All veterans in Marion County are invited to attend. It will be held in the Veterans of Foreign Wars post hall on West Santa Fe in Marion. The program will begin at 10:30 and continue until noon.

This is a timely event, the day following the celebration of Memorial Day which recognizes veterans of all American wars.

Last week's publication of our sister periodical, View, attempted to list all Marion County veterans, but no doubt some were inadvertently overlooked.

If you are a veteran, the spouse of a veteran, or the friend of a veteran it would be prudent for you to encourage attendance at Tuesday's informational meeting.

There is no dress code, no admission charge, and no obligation. All veterans of America's many wars are encouraged to attend. The multitude of VA benefits will be presented and questions answered.

"Freedom is not free," and only veterans realize the price really paid.

Tuesday morning in Marion, Congressman Jerry Moran will bring VA spokesmen to explain what a grateful nation offers those who paid for our freedom.
