Timm, Richmond named MHS students of the month

Erin Richmond and Jordan Timm have been designated Marion High School students of the month for January by school staff.

Richmond has been involved throughout her high school tenure in Key Club, Future Educators of America, choir, band, flag corps, volleyball, track and field, and power lifting. She played basketball for two years and has been a member of MHS Singers for three years. She has been a member of National Honor Society for two years.

As a senior, Richmond is president of Key Club, vice president of the National Honor Society, and participates in youth court and peer mediation.

Richmond also teaches gymnastics for Marion REC. She attends Eastmoor United Methodist Church, where she participates in the youth group.

Richmond is the daughter of Rodney and Diane Richmond, Marion, and has an older sister, Amber, who is a sophomore at the University of Kansas.

Timm has been active for four years in Future Educators of America, currently serving as the group's president. He has been active during that time in choir, forensics, as well as school drama and musical productions, playing one of the lead roles in "My Fair Lady."

MHS Singers, district and state honor choirs, youth court, peer mediation, and Marion County youth team are activities Timm has participated in the past three years. He also has been involved with band, cross country, National Honor Society, and creative writing.

Timm is currently historian for Future Business Leaders of America, serves on student council, and is involved with Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

Timm attends Marion Christian Church, where he is a member of the choir. This past summer he served as an assistant to Kathy Whitaker for summer theater.

Timm is the son of Larry and Krista Timm, and resides with Chris and Janet Killough, Marion. He has three younger siblings, Jessica, Joshua, and Jayne.
