Town needs pizzazz

To the Editor:

I do not live in Marion County or anywhere near it, but my grandparents do and I have heard them talk about people complaining about the building in Marion that was painted lime-green. I have some thought and opinion that I would like to share with you on this subject.

Marion is a considerably old town, and therefore its buildings are not so colorful. I believe this bright colored site will give Marion some "pizzazz." And another reason there should be no complaint is because whoever bought the place has whatever right to paint it however they like.

One more good point: The flower shop on Main Street is pink. Was there any complaint about that? No, so why about this? You may say because the flower shop is smaller and the color isn't as bright. But I say, why does it matter? The town does need pizzazz, the buyers can do whatever they would like to the building, and there should be no complaint whatsoever.

If the complainers have a problem, they shouldn't turn to gossip. If they do believe the color is too bright, they should politely go talk to the owner. And instead of getting all upset about it, read this article and think the obvious. I hope this report will show the good-spirited town of Marion the pizzazz is good.
