Two Centre FFA members elected to district offices

Centre FFA members received numerous recognitions and awards during the south central district banquet April 24 at Wellington.

Kristine Jirak was elected district president and Nellie Hill district secretary for the coming year. Jackie Klenda retired as district treasurer for 2005-06.

Klenda received the district proficiency award in diversified livestock production and Steven Hageberg received the same award in ag processing. They also are state winners in their respective areas.

Gloria Belton and Steven Hageberg received recognition as recipients of state FFA degrees.

Centre advisers Cary Granzow and Gaea Wimmer were appointed to serve as district advisers.

Other Centre FFA members who attended the banquet were Alisha Barney, Savik Howard, and Julie Rziha.

Parents in attendance were Denice Hageberg, Kevin and Theresa Hill, Ed and Gwenn Belton, Francis and Mary Jirak, and Val and Julie Klenda.

Several other family members were in attendance to join in celebrating the FFA members' successes.
