Two Warriors earn all-league softball honors
Marion High School softball players Kristin Waner and Shelby Percell were honored this past week by the Mid-Central Activities Association.
Waner, a senior, and Percell, a freshman, both were recognized by the MCAA as honorable mention team members.
Waner, who pitched and played infield, earned the honors as a utility player, and Percell earned them as a third baseman.
Percell led the team in batting with a .400 average. She also scored 13 runs and hit three double and two triples.
Waner was second in average with a .397 clip while scoring 10 runs and hitting a double and a triple.
