Vehicle search reveals meth lab

Marion County Sheriff's Deputy Josh Whitwell stopped a driver at Main and Lincoln, Marion, at 9:12 p.m. July 20 because of a known felony warrant. During the arrest, narcotics were found on the individuals. A search of the vehicle followed, and a methamphetamine lab was found.

At 8 p.m. July 27, an unknown individual broke the top window on a storm door at a building in Lehigh. The building is property of Chase Manhattan Bank, Deerfield Beach, Fla. Deputy Mike Vineski states the window value is estimated at $50.

Sometime between 8 a.m. Jan. 1 and 5 p.m. July 10, individuals entered a barn at 586 Needle Road, Peabody. Ten power tools and a CD player were taken. The stolen property, valued at $1,500, belongs to Hector R. Mesqueda, of the home, reports Deputy Whitwell.

At 9:20 p.m. July 24 individuals called Rosetta J. Wagner, 731 Newell Road, Peabody, and left threatening messages on an answering machine, reports Deputy Whitwell.

Sometime between 11:04 and 11:15 a.m. July 24 an individual took gasoline valued at $30 without permission. The gasoline was property of Eldon Wiens, 1244 140th, Hillsboro, reports Deputy Mike Vineski.
