Velma Johnson
Velma Johnson, 95, of Wichita, died Dec. 8, 2005.
Born Nov. 13, 1910, at Lincolnville, she was the daughter of Henry and Minnie (Henke) Tiemeier.
On May 13, 1934, she married Alvin Johnson. They made their home in Burdick.
She moved to Wichita in 1998, following the death of her husband.
She was the bookkeeper for her husband at Al's Auto Service, Herington, until their retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Esther Leuker; and four brothers, Edgar, Clarence, Otto, and Paul Tiemeier.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Johnson of Rogers, Ark., Loren Johnson of Derby, and Michael Johnson of Wichita; sister, Lillian Sturgis; brother, Raymond Tiemeier; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at Smith Mortuary, Derby.
A memorial fund has been established with Heart Ministries Inc.
