Vera Deines
Vera Deines, 92, died June 28, 2004, at Sandpiper Bay Nursing Home, Wichita.
Born Aug. 18, 1911, at Lost Springs, she was the daughter of Godfrey and Elizabeth Benhardt.
On Oct. 21, 1934, she married Benjamin Deines at Ramona. The couple lived in Ramona until moving to Marion in 1967. He died in 1984.
A homemaker and restaurant operator, she was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Marion.
Survivors include two sons, Denny Deines of Wichita and Lowell Deines of San Diego, Calif.; a daughter, Judy Lippert of Nacogdoches, Texas; two sisters, Doris Bernhardt of Marion and Edwina Wendt of Hope; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Our Savior Lutheran Church with the Rev. Clark Davis officiating.
Burial will be in Lewis Cemetery, Ramona.
A memorial fund has been established with the chuch.
