Vespers service is Sunday
Marion Presbyterian Church will host Christmas Vespers Sunday at the church.
The prelude will begin at 4:40 p.m. with music from harpist Jane Hawkins of Wichita and Dwight Beckham on trumpet.
The candlelight service will consist of choral selections, harp and trumpet solos, intertwined with scripture and poetry.
Special guests include high school musicians Jessica Vogel on flute and Bryce Nelson on trombone.
The choir, consisting of many community singers, is directed by Mike Connell and accompanied by Laura Williams.
