VFW Auxiliary donates money to lake project
Members of the ladies' auxiliary of Ecker-Fulkerson-Slifer VFW Post #6958, Marion, voted Sept. 12 to donate $25 to the Marion County Lake restoration project.
The auxiliary sent 144 bibs and 12 lap robes to Fort Dodge Soldiers' Home.
Members were reminded that October will be cookie month. Evelyn Ollenberger will be the calling chairman.
Volunteers are needed for the Buddy Poppy campaign on Old Settlers' Day. The holiday bazaar will be Nov. 18 at the post home.
The fourth district meeting will be Oct. 7 at Junction City.
President Donna Kreutziger was hostess.
The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 10 at the post home.
