View our new adventure

By now the first issue of View, Marion County's newest publication is off the press and in the hands of the readers.

For the past several months, Hoch Publishing Company has been kicking around an idea of an entertainment-based publication.

Our goal is two-fold — we envision something that offers ideas and suggestions of things to do and see in central Kansas and tidbits of information designed to entertain readers. We also want to provide a vehicle that will allow advertisers to reach Marion County residents who don't traditionally read newspapers on a regular basis.

You won't see government coverage, school board reports, or court news. You will see quality photographs, features, and stories about what's going on in Marion County and the surrounding area.

The endeavor has been an adventure for the Hoch Publishing staff. We've had to think outside the box and go beyond our comfort zones to think "magazine" thoughts.

Bear with us. The concept is evolving and the next publication promises to be better than the first.

As the first one demonstrates, it's not all about Marion County. We've discovered some readers like to know what there is to do and see in other areas of the state.

The magazine also won't exclude Marion County. We know Marion County has a lot to offer. We'll include that as well.

The magazine is free and sent to every household in Marion County. If you haven't seen View, give it a look. If you didn't receive one, give us a call and we'll send it or you can pick one up at our office in Marion.

It's new. It's different. Join the adventure. If you have ideas, let us know. We're open to suggestions.
