Vogel serves on K-State student ag board of directors

Alan Vogel of Marion soon will complete his term as a member of the 2005-06 K-State Student Board of Directors.

The mission of the board program is to provide K-State students with an educational agricultural finance experience, exposure to functions of a board of directors, and development of decision-making and critical thinking skills.

Sponsored by Frontier Farm Credit of Manhattan and K-State's Department of Agricultural Economics, this year's student board project is "Structuring Frontier Farm Credit to Better Serve the Future of Agriculture." The study focuses on where agriculture is headed and how the credit service can continue to be a valuable resource to a changing rural America. The board will present its findings to the FFC board of directors on April 17.

Vogel, a 2003 graduate of Marion High School, is the son of Randy and Carol Vogel of Marion.
