Volleyball, aerobics on Hillsboro REC agenda

Hillsboro REC will be providing those interested in getting in shape or hitting the volleyball court the opportunity to do so.

Melanie Johnson, who has been involved with aerobics since she was 15 and is a certified by the Manitoba Fitness Council, will be offering an intermediate aerobics class to anyone looking for a challenging workout.

The format will vary form standard hi/low impact aerobics, step aerobics, kickboxing, strength training, and circuit/interval style classes.

Classes will begin Sept. 9 at Hillsboro Elementary gymnasium. They will begin at 7 p.m. and last an hour.

The fee is $35 for the 12-week course.

For those interested in sports, a volleyball open gym session will begin Sept. 9 and run through Oct. 21.

The sessions are for any adult players who would like to get back in the swings of things. The REC will be looking into the possibility of staring a women's or co-ed league if interest is high enough.
