Vondenkamp blazes to national qualifying mark
Jeremy Vondenkamp is now a national-caliber hurdler.
Vondenkamp, a member of the Benedictine College indoor track team, clocked 8.13 seconds over the 55-meter hurdles Jan. 27, while competing at the Missouri Valley College invitational meet in Marshall, Mo. Vodenkamp finished second in his heat, and third overall.
The performance was good enough to qualify Vondenkamp to race at the National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) indoor national championships.
The 42nd annual NAIA national indoor track meet will be held March 8-10 at Memorial Center in Johnson City, Tenn.
