Voters still have choices

The name has changed but the intent is the same.

Advance ballots now are called absentee ballots but no special criteria, other than being a registered voter, has to be met.

Any voter who wants to vote prior to the Feb. 28 primary election, may do so during normal business hours (8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.) at the courthouse. Absentee ballots will be accepted until noon Feb. 27.

Those voters who have received an absentee ballot in the mail must return the ballot by 7 p.m. Feb. 28.
