W. Richard Zeitlow

Okla., died Jan. 20, 2006, at Ponca City, Okla.

Born Nov. 2, 1931, at McPherson, he was the son of Howard William and Alice Doris (Dixon) Zeitlow.

He attended Elm Springs Elementary School, rural Tampa, and Roxbury High School, Roxbury.

He was engaged in farming and ranching until the mid-1980s when he moved to Saudi Arabia to supervise a farming operation. He then moved to Roswell, N.M., where he worked as superintendent for Brown and Brown Construction Company until his retirement.

On July 7, 1952, he married Phyllis Yauk at Colorado Springs, Colo.

On June 18, 1984, he married Dorothy Elkins in the South of France.

He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, McPherson, and Elks Lodge #502, McPherson.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Ponca City, Okla.; two daughters, Susan Zeitlow of Kansas City, Mo., and E'Vette Zeitlow of Los Angeles, Calif.; son, Dick Zeitlow of Wichita; stepson, Dale Miller of Wellington; sister, Doris Crowther of Durham; brother, Leonard Zeitlow of McPherson; two grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, McPherson, with Pastor Mike Fibranz officiating.

Burial was in Valley View Cemetery, Roxbury.

A memorial fund has been established with Ponca City Nursing Home, Ponca City, Okla.
