Warriors to play in Trojan Classic
Both Marion High School Warriors basketball teams will play in the Trojan Classic Jan. 16-21.
The boys' team will participate in an eight-team bracket tournament. The girls will compete in a six-team pool-play tournament.
The boys' team comes in as the seven seed and will play at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday against number two seed Belleville at Hillsboro.
MHS girls' team kicks off play at 6 p.m. Monday against Wamego at Marion.
The Lady Warriors then play at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday against Belleville on their home court.
The championship and consolation rounds will be Saturday.
In the boys' bracket, once a team is defeated the best it can take is fifth place. Every team will play three games.
After the tournament, the Warriors resume play Jan. 27 against Hillsboro.
