Wedding: Heidi and Charles Maggard
Heidi Michelle Doyle of Holton and Charles Richard Maggard II of Marion were united in marriage June 12, 2004, during an outside ceremony at The Doyle Farm in Holton. The Rev. Keith Allison of Marion officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Lee and Pam Doyle of Holton. The groom is the son of Dennis and Janis Maggard of Marion.
Grandparents of the bride are Joe and Mary Doyle of Holton, Zeke Johnson of Halstead, and the late Verda Johnson. The groom's grandparents are Beverly Echtenacher of Marion and the late Chuck and Helen Maggard.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. They were preceded by wedding angels, Ethan Mick, Andrew Ivy, Tristin Higdon, Parker Lolli, Corbin Cartwright, Sydney Snyder, Hunter Helmer, and Drew Helmer who delivered roses to represent loved ones not present.
Crystal McDaniel was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Gabrielle Darrow, Lindsay Knouft, Michelle Luck, Melissa Coverdale, and Jenny Maggard, cousin of the groom.
Best man was Josh Cooper. Groomsmen were Chris Darrow, Jason Wheeler, Jared Herzet, Dax Kannady, and Scott Doyle, brother of the bride.
Madelyn Ivy, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. Ring bearers were Colby Doyle, nephew of the bride, Ben Doyle, cousin of the bride, and Sammy, puppy of the bride and groom.
Candlelighters were Hillary Lolli and Jessica Reichle. Ushers were Jacob Kehler, cousin of the bride, Jared Kruse and Jesse Bowers, and Dick Maggard, uncle of the groom.
Gift attendants were Lindsay Reed and Summer Waters, cousins of the bride. Teuka Farmer and Jennifer Kehler, cousin of the bride, were guest book attendants. Program attendants were Johsie Reid and Nikki Reid, cousins of the groom. Parking attendants were Doug Reed and Ken Higdon, uncles of the bride, and the bride's cousins, Nick Reed, Nathan Doyle, and Caleb Doyle.
Jill Doyle, sister-in-law of the bride, was the bride's personal attendant.
Trumpeter was Don McDaniel. Cheryl McDaniel was music attendant. Songs were performed by Crystal McDaniel, Lindsay Knouft, Michelle Luck, and Gabrielle Darrow.
Reception hosts were Jerome and Donna Hajek and Ralph and Charlene Herbers. Reception attendants were Rachel Cartwright, Kim Helmer, and Sarah Bowers.
Sound system manager was Tom Hudson, uncle of the groom. Wedding planners and attendants were Jan Higdon and Deb Reed, aunts of the bride.
The bride is a student at Emporia State University. She is employed at Jim Bell & Sons of Cottonwood Falls and at the Mental Health Center of East Central Kansas of Emporia.
The groom, a graduate of Emporia State University, is employed as head case manager at Prairie View of Marion.
The couple is at home in Cottonwood Falls.
