Wesley White

Wesley Ward White, 83, died Oct. 8, 2005, at Lutheran Care Home, Herington.

Born Dec. 14, 1921, at DeMoines, Texas, he was the son of John T. and Flora (McLeemaster) White.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a retired oil field pumper.

He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Herington.

On Sept. 6, 1943, he married Florence Rindt at Wichita.

Survivors include his wife, Florence of Herington; son, Wesley White of Hutchinson; daughter, Cynthia Mowat of Herington; brother, Joe White of Sapulpa, Okla.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held this morning (Wednesday) at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Herington, with the Rev. Troy Slater officiating.

Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington, with full military honors.

Memorial funds have been established with the church or Dickinson County Hospice.
