LETTERS: What a switch! years ago
To the Editor:
A few years ago, our community leaders turned down the chance to get a multi-million dollar source of income in this area, but we didn't want the neighboring counties' trash in our back yard.
Now, we are told we need to pass a $15 million tax bill so we can build a jail to house our neighboring counties' murderers, rapists, thieves, and junkies.
What a switch!
I hope some of you voters don't forget the wild promises we were made before this latest school bond vote. And let's not forget those of us who bought those $500 memorial fund seats for the new theater!
Before you vote, have a good strong cup of coffee and get your eyes open.
