Where are they now? Dale Vogel
When Dale Vogel graduated from Marion High School in 2005 it was no surprise the burley three-sport athlete would play college athletics.
The three-year letterwinner in football, two-year winner in basketball, and one-year winner in track signed on to play football with Hutchinson Community College right out of high school.
After a year of playing defensive end, his coach told him he would play more if he switched to center. Vogel jumped at the chance, and despite an 0-9 season the sophomore was still named to the Jayhawk Conference all-league second team.
After some self-recruiting, the former high school first-team all-state football player and honorable mention all-state basketball player was asked by Kansas State University to try and join the team as a walk-on while majoring in public relations.
He has reported to Manhattan, and will find out later this summer if he will make the traveling squad or be a redshirt this fall.
