Willard Waner
Willard Waner, 92, died July 23, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence.
Born April 8, 1912, at Florence, he was the son of Joseph and Ina Waner.
On April 26, 1939, he married Grace Waltie at Florence. She died in 1996.
He was a retired farmer and had lived in Ottawa since 1964. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Lawrence.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Pauline R. Waner; and two brothers, Louis Waner and Raymond Waner.
Survivors include a brother, Thomas of Lawrence; a sister, Bernadine Gronau of Newton; and 13 nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Tuesday afternoon at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Florence, with Father Steve Gronert officiating.
A memorial service was established with the American Heart Association.
