Winifred Brewer
Winifred L. "Sugar" Brewer, 69, of Latour, Mo., died July 16, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.
Born May 16, 1936, at Florence, she was the daughter of Ralph and Beryl (Robbins) Vaughn.
She grew up in Florence and attended school there.
On June 21, 1953, she married Max Wayne Brewer of Burrton. He died in January 1988.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gregory Brewer; sister, Patricia Hauck; and several brothers.
Survivors include her companion, Ernest Rea of Latour, Mo.; three daughters, Patti and Randy Richter of Peabody, Terri and James Bullock of Newton, and Sherri and Brad Richter of McPherson; two sons, Bruce and Debra Brewer of Peabody and Daryl and Linda Brewer of Marion; daughter-in-law, Penny Brewer of Topeka; sister, Laverna Sayer of Newton; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Whitewater Center Church with Pastor Jim Pohlman officiating. Burial will be in Whitewater Center Cemetery.
A Brewer family funeral fund has been established.
