Woods, Schwabauer married

Monica Ann Woods and Aaron Lloyd Schwabauer were joined in marriage June 4, 2004, in a beach-side ceremony at Sandals Halcyon in Castries, St. Lucia. Marriage officer Catherine St. Helene performed the double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Gary and Tami Woods of Lebanon and Neal and Arlys Schwabauer of Goessel.

The bride wore an ivory luster satin gown with a princess bodice and cap sleeves. Crystal beaded embroidery accents were on the sleeves, bodice, redingote, and the semi cathedral-length train. She was escorted to the beach-side gazebo by her father.

Sara Woods, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. She wore a strapless A-line periwinkle satin gown.

Nathan Schwabauer, brother of the groom, served as best man.

A garden reception followed the ceremony. Special guests at the wedding and garden reception included the bride's parents and sister, the groom's parents and brother, Curtis and Teri Overmiller, aunt and uncle of the bride, and Scott Flaming, Nichole Murk, Ryan Pendleton, and Maria Flaming.

The couple hosted a reception July 10 at Wareham Opera House in Manhattan. Marie Overmiller, Mae Shandy, Meda Green, Teri Overmiller, and Karen Seems, aunts of the bride, served as cake cutters.

Tyler Seems, cousin of the bride, served as gift runner for the couple. Nichole Murk, Kim Church, and Jennifer Jones were guest book attendants. The couple shared their wedding video and a photo slide show of their trip with guests.

The bride is a graduate of Smith Center High School. She completed her undergraduate and master's degrees in accounting at Kansas State University. Currently, she is employed as a financial analyst for Foot Locker, Inc., in Junction City.

The groom is a graduate of Goessel High School. He will complete his degree in criminology in December at Kansas State University. He is a firefighter with the Manhattan Fire Department.

The couple resides in Manhattan.
