Lesley Allen surprised her parents, Skip and Eileen Sieger, by arriving Friday to attend Old Settlers' Day and the 125th anniversary celebration at Eastmoor church. She returned home Monday morning.

Howard and Beth Collett had classmates from high school at their home Friday night. Those present were Harold and Vivian Conyers, Jack and Vernie Beaston, Juanita Helmer, Virginia Downing, Marilyn Geis of Marion, and Wanda Burke of Colorado Springs, Colo. Howard and Beth took in all the Old Settlers' Day activities on Saturday. Anne and Keith Collett and Kitty came Sunday to the Collett farm to pick apples. John and Rita Spinden were Sunday afternoon callers of Howard and Beth. Sunday night the Colletts joined members and husbands of Beta Sigma Phi for a beginning day picnic at the home of Karen and Stan Lomas in El Dorado.

Rita and Ray Kraus attended the open house reception Sunday afternoon honoring the 50th wedding anniversary of Jim and Rita Brennan at Hillsboro Senior Center.

My sister, Jo Gearheart, came this past Wednesday to spend the week with me. Betty Ireland called Friday afternoon for a nice visit.

Edward Kandt of Wichita stopped Saturday for a visit with his cousin and her husband Sarah and Louis Stika.

Rachel Davidson rode on the 4-H float Saturday in the Old Settlers' Day parade. Sarah Davidson is attending college at Notre Dame in Indiana. The Davidsons have football tickets and will be attending their first game in a couple of weeks. Greg and Rose Davidson attended the 50th wedding anniversary open house Sunday for Jim and Rita Brennan.

Ken and Margie Nienstedt attended the Bredemeier reunion this weekend at the county lake hall.

Jackie Hett and Melanie Ensey rode horses in the Old Settlers' Day parade. Melissa O'Sullivan from Tulsa was home to celebrate her 30th class reunion. Jackie visited the O'Sullivans in Tulsa this past Tuesday and Wednesday.

June Jost rode a horse Saturday in the parade. Jeannine Bateman, Kristine Bateman, Faye Makovec, and Susan Robson rode on a float.

Edmund Steiner and Vicki Smolik watched the parade Saturday. They had dinner at noon with Paul and Kathy Swan.

Shirley Bowers walked in the parade Saturday. Kim, Bryce, and Breanna Bowers came Friday and spent the night with David and Shirley.

Kate Hayen has been in a Topeka hospital this past week, awaiting gall bladder surgery. We hope all goes well for her.
