Shirley Bowers and John Hayen went with the Marion bus Friday evening to the Billy Graham final revival at Kansas City. Our bus was filled and some of our people rode with the Newton people.

Eileen Sieger went to a luncheon Tuesday at Prairie View in Newton. The luncheon was sponsored by the "Leave a Legacy" foundation.

Eileen Sieger, Beth Collett, and Margaret Ireland attended the hospital auxiliary meeting Thursday morning at St. Luke Hospital.

Skip Sieger took his airplane to Hillsboro airport Saturday and the EMTs had a training session for plane crash victims.

Cy Goertz and Diana Jost ate lunch Friday at the senior center. We all got to visit with them.

Rose Olive Hett has moved into the new assisted living center. She is in room 120. She soon will have a new phone number and would like to have friends visit her at her new apartment.

Roseva McLinden was moved from Wesley hospital Tuesday to a rehab center. She returned Sunday to Wesley hospital for more tests.

Jeannine Bateman joined Kristine Bateman Saturday in Topeka at a craft show.

Vicki Smolik and Edmund Steiner attended a layette shower Sunday afternoon for Elnora Silhan at the Pilsen community center. Edmund and Vicki visited Tuesday with Elnora Ehlers of Newton. Vicki attended the funeral services Friday of Irene Tajchman at the Pilsen church.

Dorothy and John Hayen, Virginia Downing, and Carmen Parrack attended church Sunday morning at Eastmoor. Dorothy had had a good night and she looked great. They attended the Collett reunion at the county lake following the church services.

Howard and Beth Collett, Keith and Anne Collett, Hank, Lucy, and Caroline, Rick and Collette Erickson, Katie and Liz and Liz's friend, Derick Carlson attended the Collett reunion Sunday at the county lake. Rick and Collette stopped at the Howard Collett farm for a visit following the reunion.

David and Shirley Bowers and Greg and Mary Beth Bowers and Luke attended the Collett reunion Sunday at the lake hall.

Elmer and Leonore Klassen visited Leonard and Rosalie Klassen Monday night. Elmer and Leonard Friesen from Hillsboro also visited the Klassens Monday evening. Leonard and Rosalie had lunch Wednesday with Vickie Fisher in Wichita. Leonard and Rosalie had dinner Friday with Bernice and Don Friend in Newton. The Klassens ate lunch Sunday noon at Eastmoor and attended the Tabor play, "You Can't Take It With You" Sunday afternoon.

Marj Johnson, Emily and Ethan came Sunday for dinner here and did some painting and bagged some of the early-fallen leaves.

Paul and Kathy Swan hosted a birthday dinner Sunday honoring the sixth birthday of Kassidy Griffin. Family members present were Vicki Smolik, Edmund Steiner, Tim and Becky Makovec, Morgan and Tyler, Justin and Katrina Griffin and Kandace, Sam and Diana Griffin, Travis and Valeria Griffin and girls. Following dinner ice cream and cake was served to the guests.

Vicki Smolik reported a light frost Saturday morning. Some flowers and tender plants got nipped.

Elma Piper called on Rose Olive Hett this past week. Elma's niece and nephew from Colorado came to see her at her apartment in Abilene and they brought her down to see Rose Olive.

Shirley and David Bowers went to Burdick Wednesday evening to Burdick United Methodist Church annual turkey supper. They picked up three take-out dinners and went to the home of Diana Jost and had supper with Cy Goertz. He is out of the hospital and staying with Clint and Diana Jost while he continues to recuperate.

Howard and Beth Collett took in Octoberfest at Lincolnville Saturday. That evening they went to Marion County Park and Lake to the dedication of the CCC statue. Howard and Beth drove to Lyons Monday night to attend the junior varsity football game where grandson Hank played.

Margaret Hein visited me Friday afternoon. Shirley Bowers brought me tomatoes from her garden and two freshly-baked dinner rolls Saturday morning and stayed for a nice visit. Rosalie Klassen brought me a casserole Sunday evening on their way to the county lake to view the CCC statue. Betty May and I had Sunday lunch together at Kingfisher's Inn. I for one will miss that place.

Roseva McLinden is in Wesley hospital following an accident this past Sunday in her garage. She will find out today about rehabilitation.

Marilyn Geis, Virginia Downing, and Charles Montgomery attended the CCC statue dedication ceremony. Virginia said as the ceremony started, a huge flock of seagulls flew over the dedication sight making an interesting display.

Vicki Kraus visited Rosalie Klassen this past Saturday and toured her new home.

Leonard and Rosalie visited Vernon and Rachel Friesen at Hillsboro this past Sunday night. Leonard and Rosalie attended the potluck dinner Sunday noon at Eastmoor.

Kristine and Jeannine Bateman had dinner Wednesday evening at Kingfisher's Inn. Jeannine visited her mother, Alvina Skibbe, Sunday.

Shirley Bowers was honored by her family with a picnic supper at Central Park Saturday evening to celebrate her birthday. Family members present were David Bowers, Doug and Janelle Paden, Mathew, Abigail, and Jonathan, Bev and Kevin Jennison, Betsy and Randy Bunnell, and Mary Beth Bowers, Rhonny and Luke. David and Shirley attended the renewal service Sunday evening at Aulne Unite Methodist Church.

Eileen Sieger and other hospital auxiliary board members attended a potluck dinner Friday noon at the hospital to mark the changeover from Banner management to Quorum.
