Youngtown FCE annual Christmas dinner was Tuesday at the home of Judy Christensen. We were delighted that Roseva McLinden could join us. Lori McLinden brought Roseva out and she walked in with the aid of her walker and had dinner with us. Betty Ireland drove me out and stopped here on her way home for a nice visit.

Chantal and Christopher De Yoe, Orion and Ciaran have returned home from a two week visit with her parents, Margie and Ken Nienstedt and sister Annette and cousin Layne.

Mary Beth and Greg Bowers drove Saturday evening to Bradley Fair in Wichita to attend the Central National Bank annual Christmas dinner. Mary Beth and Shirley Bowers helped with child care Friday evening at Eastmoor while lucky parents got to shop or party with free baby-sitting.

Eileen Sieger attended the 20th Century Christmas party Monday night at the home of Mary Kay Classen. Skip and Eileen Sieger attended the Aviation Association Christmas dinner Saturday evening at the Hillsboro Scout House.

Cate and Leon Hayen were here this past week visiting Dorothy Hayen and the rest of the family. John Hayen took Dorothy to church Sunday morning but she was too tired to go out to dinner. Dorothy does well for her age. She sent Christmas cards to family and friends with Virginia's help and could sign her name to each one.

Virginia Downing attended the basketball game Tuesday at Marion and Friday at Inman to watch Leann Thomas play. She missed Thursday's game when Leann scored 19 points.

Elmer and Leonore Klassen visited Thursday afternoon with Leonard and Rosalie Klassen. The Klassens were in Wichita one day this past week watching Allegra Fisher play basketball.

Shirley Bowers and Margaret Ireland attended UMW Wednesday afternoon at Eastmoor. Margaret Hein and Wanda Carr joined Shirley and Margaret for a planning meeting following the regular December meeting.

Kathy and Paul Swan and Vicki Smolik attended Kandace Griffin's Christmas program this past week at Sacred Heart Catholic School at Emporia.

Jeannine Bateman took her mother, Alvina Skibbe shopping Sunday and decorated her apartment. That evening Jeannine joined Skip and Eileen Sieger at the Vesper service at the Presbyterian church.

Howard and Beth Collett, Shirley and David Bowers, and Margie and John Talbott attended the Higgins' covered dish Christmas dinner Sunday noon at the senior center.
