Eva Marie Gaschler arrived Saturday, weighing 9 pounds 9 ounces. She is the newest member of the Youngtown community. The proud parents are Mike and Cindy Gaschler, who live in the old Youngtown church building.

David and Shirley Bowers attended a carry-in dinner Sunday at Eastmoor honoring Chris and Tami Harbin and Samuel, missionaries from north Africa.

Vicki Smolik was a supper guest Sunday night of Edmund Steiner. Additional guests were Jim and Marlene Gutsch of Las Vegas, Dennis and Mary Steiner, Terry and Diana Steiner, Terry Allen and Kristine Steiner and Miranda, and the Rodney Gutsches of Emporia.

Leon Hayen visited Wednesday and Thursday with his mother, Dorothy Hayen. Brent and Paula Hayen visited Monday with Dorothy. Dorothy visited with Mildred Bowers this past week. I called on Mildred Tuesday morning and took some roses from my yard. Virginia Downing and John Hayen took Dorothy to Florence Sunday for lunch.

Chelsea Turk visited several days with her grandparents, Faye and Jerry Makovec. They were joined by Morgan Makovec one day for play time.

I picked up Ethan Johnson Saturday morning from Christian Hills Church camp at Eureka. He stayed with me through Sunday, when we were joined for dinner by Marj and Joe Johnson and Emily. Joe and Ethan went boating Sunday afternoon and Marj, Emily, and I visited before they returned to Wichita.

Ashley Fisher was a guest July 27-28 of Leonard and Rosalie Klassen. Leonard and Rosalie spent the weekend in Manhattan, where they attended a ball tournament in which Kelsie Sorenson played. Other family members attending were Don and Cora Sorenson and Keaton and Kamie and Eric Van Campon and Parker.
