Wouldn't it be nice if the governing body of Lincolnville actually complied with the ordinances they vote to adopt? The city should set a good example for residents by maintaining city ditches and could start by mowing the ditch on First Street. The governing body then could push to make Main Street more attractive by using the annual "Cleanup Day" to remove junk from around buildings on that street. Maybe the governing body prefers to pick and choose which property owners have to follow the rules rather than apply the rules in a consistent manner.

Why can't the restrooms in Central Park remain open during daylight hours. With the new playground equipment, the park is drawing more traffic from families. They need restroom facilities.
