For the last two years, products of Wolf’s Marion Creamery have been eaten and enjoyed by people in Arizona, too. Before WWII Carl Richards, sales manager of the organization, sold butter to the Allis and Lassen Hotels, Innes Tea Room, and Wolf’s Cafeteria in Wichita. Since his return from the Army, he has introduced Wolf’s dairy products to the best of eating places in the Southwest.

About 250 hunters gathered Jan. 1 at Dobbs schoolhouse northwest of Marion and before they were finished they had covered 32 sections and netted eight coyotes.

Two displaced Catholic priests from Yugoslavia, Fathers Joseph Goracy and Francis Jeresa, have fled from their country after being sentenced to death by Communists. They have arrived in Kansas to make new homes and both have been assigned to the Pilsen parish.

“You Can’t Take It With You,” a comedy in three acts by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, will be presented by the Marion Civic Theatre on the evenings of Feb. 21 and 22. Ethel Gardner Dale will direct the play and the cast will be selected within the next two weeks.

Lonnie E. Tidwell, popular young Marion businessman, will take over the president’s chair of the local Kiwanis club Jan. 10. Vice presidents are Roger Morse and Dr. E.K. Schroeder.
