You don’t want to miss the big annual Spring Merchandise and Tractor Show in Marion two days, March 30 and 31. There will be movies in the city building during the afternoons, display booths in the basement, tractor and implement show on the street, the big spring style show Thursday night, and the Ark Valley Boys Friday evening.

Reinterment services were held Sunday afternoon at Marion Cemetery for Lt. Raleigh Chase Bowlby Jr., who was killed in action in the Cassino drive April 8, 1944.

Junior Post, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Post, celebrated his 9th birthday Saturday afternoon with a party at his home. Boys invited were Paul Schmersey, Paul Ford, Bill Remmers, Greg Henry, Tommy Shirley, Jimmy Christensen, Laird Helmer, Laurence Priddle, Junior Bledsoe, Eugene Waner, Neil Hoopes, Joel Newlon, and Bobby Bass.

Among recent deliveries made by Paul Seifert Motor Company were a Buick Roadmaster sedanette to Rudolph Svitak, Chevrolet Styleline four-door sedan to Dr. Chas. R. Magee, and a Chevrolet deluxe five-passenger coupe to Otto Krotz.

High school baseball season is coming. Seven lettermen who are returning include Max Merrill, Jim Fruechting, Don Fruechting, Roger Ireland, Bob Reinke, kerns Allen, and Leslie Powell, Jr.
