Stolen car found in Lincolnville

A car owned by a Kansas City woman and stolen in McPherson County was found May 27 parked at a Lincolnville resident’s property.

Deputy Austin Spencer’s report valued the 2017 Ford Fiesta, owned by Tamayo J.D. Garcia of Kansas City, at $12,000.

Undersheriff Larry Starkey said McPherson County had issued an “attempt to locate” bulletin for the stolen vehicle.

Spencer recovered it at 7:17 p.m. May 27 from a parking area at Calvin J. Hinz’s residence in the 600 block of Wichita Ave. in Lincolnville, according to an offense report released Friday.

Hinz was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property and formally charged Thursday.
