These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

US-56 west of Chisholm Trail Rd.

Kara M. Krause, 46, Canton, complained of pain but was not taken to a hospital after her 2005 Chevrolet Malibu hit a deer at 9:55 p.m. June 23, according to one of eight accident reports released Friday by the sheriff’s office.

Her car sustained disabling damage to its front, right, hood, and undercarriage and was towed.

5th and Main Sts., Florence

The engine of a 1997 Buick Park Avenue caught fire at 9:49 a.m. July 2 after driver Heather L. Wilson, 48, Florence, stopped at the intersection.

The Buick, owned by Dennis L. Stucky of Healy, sustained disabling damage and was towed.

Neither Wilson nor passenger Jonathan S. Mohr, 45, Maize, reported being injured. Deputy Landis Goodman’s report said Wilson complied with unspecified restrictions on her license.

K-15 north of 130th Rd.

Nataya M. Leister, 24, Abilene, was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to NMC Health, Newton, after she fell asleep at noon July 3 and her 2017 Chrysler Pacifica veered across the highway, hit a road sign in the left ditch, came back onto the road, and crashed into the right ditch.

Five-year-old passenger Rozalynn K. Hamilton of Salina was not injured, according to deputy Bruce Burke’s report.

Leister’s Chrysler sustained disabling damage to its left side and was towed.

US-56 east of Goldenrod Rd.

Kimberly S. Lewis, 59, Lehigh, hit a deer at 8:07 a.m. July 4 with a 2019 Ram 1500 owned by passenger Jarold E. Lewis Jr., 59, of the same address.

The pickup ran off the road to the right, sustained disabling damage to its right front, hood, and undercarriage, and was towed.

US-77 south of 10th Rd.

Three children were injured or suffered possible injuries at 8:47 p.m. July 4 when a 2015 Hyundai Sonata owned and driven by Lisa M. Strotkamp, 48, Burns, inexplicably slammed into the rear of a 2009 GMC Acadia owned and driven by Patrick S. Nelson, 32, El Dorado.

Four people, all of Nelson’s address, were passengers in his GMC: Brandie M. West, 33; Daxton West, 14; Caliahna West, 11; and Zakiyah West, 6.

Caliahna was listed as injured, and Daxton and Zakiyak were listed as possibly injured, but none of them were listed as being taken by ambulance to a hospital.

Strotkamp’s Hyundai sustained disabling damage to its front and windshield and was towed. Nelson’s GMC remained drivable with damage to its rear.

Deputy Peyton Heidebrecht’s report listed an unspecified “other” problem with Strotkamp’s vehicle as contributing to the wreck. No tickets were listed as being issued.

Nighthawk Rd. north of 150th Rd.

Ragina K. Middleton, 62, Canton, hit a deer at 11:24 p.m. July 4 with her 2004 Dodge Dakota, which remained drivable with damage to its right front.

John C. Middleton, 61, of the same address was a passenger.

US-50 west of Nighthawk Rd.

Two vehicles hit the same deer in a passing lane at 10:43 p.m. July 5.

Breanna D. Mallory, 22, Newton, hit it with her 1999 Honda Accord, which deputy Douglas Callam’s report said was destroyed with damage to its front, hood, windshield, and undercarriage. Autumn M. Haskin, 19, Marion, was a passenger.

Glenn D. Huff, 27, Tempe, Arizona, then hit the deer’s carcass while driving a 2014 Nissan Versa owned by passenger Eric M. Stewart, 27, of the same address. Stewart’s car remained drivable with damage to its left front and rear.
