Centre’s lone golfer takes bronze

A cloudy overcast and slight bursts of cool wind made for great conditions Tuesday afternoon at the Marion golf invitation. Three county schools — Marion, Centre, and Goessel — participated, along with seven other schools
Centre’s lone golfer, Easton Glessner, took third place, shooting nine over par.
Goessel’s Luke Stucky captured 17th place. Teammates Anthony Boden placed 26th. Samuel Abrahams 28th, Jack Nickel 33rd, and Colby Nafziger 35th.
Marions Jacob Tharp placed 40th in front of teammate Gavin Druse at 41st. Jordy Raymer placed 43rd, Noah Schmidt 45th, Ryker Salsbury 47th, and Austin Richardson 48th out of 51.
Marion will be host for the annual 36-hole challenge Marion / Hillsboro invitation Friday.
Hillsboro played at Halstead on Tuesday afternoon.
Lincoln Wichert placed eighth. Nathan Hill tied for 19th, Braxton Hiebert took 22nd, and Peyton Millers 23rd.
