County seniors to meet

The 65th annual meeting of Senior Citizens of Marion County will be Oct. 16 at Marion Senior Center.

Registration will be at 11 a.m. Lunch will be at noon.

Lewis & Clark singing duo will perform and give a brief overview of the Santa Fe Trail.

A free-will offering will be used for a scholarship for a 2026 Marion County senior pursuing a field related to aging, such as social work, medicine, therapies, or gerontology psychology.

Registrations are being accepted until Oct. 6 by the Marion County Department on Aging, (620) 382-3580, and at county senior centers. Cost is $7 a person.
