Donald Ewert

Services for Donald W. Ewert, 102, Durham, who died Feb. 10 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro, will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Durham.

Relatives will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service at the church.

Born Dec. 29, 1923, in Hillsboro to Frank C. and Caroline (Frick) Ewert, he graduated from Durham High School and married Geraldine Kaiser on June 14, 1948.

He was a farmer and stockman northwest of Durham and owned and operated Durham Truck Line, hauling livestock to stockyards.

His wife, infant sister Velna Ruth, and sister Ethelyn (Ewert) Jantz preceded him in death.

Survivors include children Dennis Ewert of Manhattan, Carolyn Wilson of Lyndon, and Glenn Ewert of Durham; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with the church.
